1. crane lifting weight: more than or equal to 25 tons, can be considered as a heavy steel structure.
2. amount of steel per square meter: greater than or equal to 50 kg/sqm, can be considered as a heavy steel structure.
3. steel plate thickness of the main component: greater than or equal to 10mm, less light steel structure.
4. In addition, there are some other reference values: such as the cost per square meter, the maximum weight of the component, the maximum span, the structural form, the above can provide empirical data when judging whether the workshop is heavy steel or light steel.
Some we can certainly say is heavy steel: such as: petrochemical plant facilities, power plant building, long-span sports hall, exhibition center, high-rise or super high-rise steel structure.
The design life of steel structure building is 50 years at least, and up to 100 years. It is important to maintain the building regularly in order to ensure that it lasts as long as possible.
